The Books of First and Second Timothy
The Book of First Timothy was written to instruct Timothy concerning God’s work and to provide direction for the church. It covers officers of the church, conduct in the church, responsibility of the church, relationships within the church and many other important matters. The book serves as an instruction manual for service in the church and for God.
The Book of Second Timothy is the last recorded epistle of Paul. It contains his final teachings to Timothy, his dear son in the ministry. It offers practical instruction concerning personal service to God. The book has many challenges for believers, such as, keep sound doctrine, study the scriptures, and remain faithful during difficult times. It provides encouragement for those struggling in service to the Lord and offers a glimpse at one of God’s men near the end of his life.
