I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8
There is no better person to go before you than the LORD. What or whom you put in front of you will shape your life. If you follow someone going the wrong direction you will go the wrong way, no matter your intentions. The LORD will never lead you incorrectly. He will take you the right way while providing wisdom, direction, comfort, and encouragement.
There’s no better place for the LORD to be in your life than before you. This is your decision. First you must choose the LORD’S way for salvation, which is to repent of sin and believe on Jesus Christ. Second you have to continue to place God first in your life by seeking His will and not yours. This must be done daily.
There’s no better plan than to always have the LORD before you. Determine to pray to Him every day, worship Him every day, and glorify Him every day. He is not just the God of Sundays but of every day of the week.
David understood placing God first would lead to a joyful and prosperous life. That’s a life worth having.
